@04:59Hmm maybe I'm confused, but when I try to use the gradient tool it doesn't stay within my line art. It covers everything. Do I have to use the lasso tool first to define and area to use the gradient in?
@04:59I use mouse is because tablet confuses me.. I always touch the screen accidentally, and plus if I fold the tablet I wouldn't be able to use the hot keys(I use undo a lot) which slows me down and irritates me.. But tablet is much fun to play with, specially drawing those things that mouse can't do : D
@04:59I have the tablet set beside my keyboard. I had to search for a keyboard that was smaller to let me work semi-comfortably with the tablet on the side. I've suggested it to Wacom - to make a tablet with a built-in keyboard so we can use the shortcut keys more easily. Hopefully they, or someone else, will eventually make something to address the ergonomic issues.
@04:59I'm a little clunky with illustrator, so this will be a huge help to me.
One thing that might really complete this is a couple annotations with brief mentions of which tools you're using, so we can look them up. For instance I think you used a mask of some kind for the band around her leg? Or was that pathfinder?
@04:59Big amount of congratulations for you. I love your art. I can do an illustration as this. And at this technique level, but dont with your gorgeous girls... And NEVER in one hour. Perhaps three at least.
Cool. Yeah and we still have quite different styles, which is good. I've always thought the techniques themselves are not too special, its the way you learn to work with them that makes the difference.
